The Irede Foundation: Disability and Limb Empowerment
The Irede Foundation was founded in 2012 by Crystal Chigbu to empower children and youth living with limb loss in Nigeria to give them hope and help them live a more fulfilled life. Today, the charity focuses on helping child amputees by educating the public about inclusiveness while encouraging caregivers and creating campaigns to raise funds for quality prosthetic limbs.
Based on their corporate profile, the Irede Foundation spent about 80% of their funds on projects and about 20% on operations.
